We’re looking for an experienced Web Developer & UX Designer to join our team full-time. This role blends technical expertise with user-centered design skills and digital support. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining websites across multiple platforms, ensuring they are functional, visually engaging, and optimized for user experience. You’ll also play an active role in supporting our team with digital tasks and keeping client projects on track.
Responsibilities
- Build, update, and maintain websites on WordPress (Elementor), Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, and other platforms.
- Translate wireframes and concepts into responsive, polished, user-friendly websites.
- Apply UX best practices to create intuitive site structures, clear navigation, and smooth user journeys.
- Customize templates, adjust layouts, and implement design elements that enhance usability and brand alignment.
- Conduct usability reviews and suggest improvements to increase engagement and conversions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, escalating complex problems when needed.
- Create and edit graphics, visuals, and layouts for websites, landing pages, and digital campaigns.
- Implement SEO best practices, including formatting content, optimizing images, and applying titles and descriptions.
- Manage DNS records and domain settings when required.
- Provide digital support to team members, assisting with content uploads, reporting, and light technical tasks.
- Occasionally support the Project Manager in tracking deadlines, flagging risks, and keeping projects on schedule.
- Manage your own workload responsibly, communicating progress proactively and taking full ownership of tasks.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience building and maintaining websites (WordPress/Elementor essential; Squarespace, Wix, and Shopify required; other platforms a plus).
- Strong knowledge of web design and UX principles, including usability, accessibility, and responsive design.
- Ability to conduct and apply user research and testing (informal or formal) to improve website performance.
- Basic coding skills (HTML, CSS) with the ability to make front-end adjustments.
- Graphic design skills with tools like Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices, including site architecture, metadata optimization, and keyword placement (on-page SEO), plus the ability to address technical SEO issues (e.g., fixing broken links, resolving orphan pages).
- Experience managing DNS records and settings for domains is highly beneficial.
- Exceptional attention to detail — from design consistency to content formatting.
- Proactive communication — keeping the team informed, flagging issues early, and suggesting solutions.
- Ability to work independently, manage your own schedule, and take full responsibility for delivering results.
- Previous experience supporting teams in a digital or creative agency environment is a strong advantage.
